We used to walk there as a family all the time and talk about how we would love to live on the ocean…Often we dreamed of getting a little tiny place in Mexico and just escaping forever. But as conversations brought us back to reality we would say “Let’s just pretend that Lake Michigan is the ocean. That will have to do, for now.”
