Our first date was a Ray Charles concert at Summerfest in 2002. Ever since, Ray’s music has had an extraordinary impact in our lives. Our song, “Hallelujah, I Love Her So” is the song that Mark played for me in the car practically every time he picked me up when we first started dating. The movie Ray came out on October 29th, the day we said our vows on Playa Paraiso. Our daughter is named Cecilia Ray because of the significance of Ray’s music in our lives.

I just came across this Ray Charles quote, which reminds me how Mark was always able to light a room with his charisma, his intelligence, his smile, his confidence and his humor… and how his soul continues to light a path for my life today.
